Interurban was founded in 1976 with the opening of the first Interurban Restaurant in Norman’s old, abandoned “Interurban Trolley” station. Founders Rusty Loeffler and Robert Ross were committed to serving good, fresh, quality food at reasonable prices along with friendly service in a clean and casual environment. That commitment remains today.
Interurban owns, operates, and licenses several Interurban Restaurants in Oklahoma and its founders are active in the development and operation of its sister concept in Texas, TwoRows Classic Grills. The founders, Rusty and Robert, along with partner Kevin George, are active and involved in Interurbans growth, development and operations on a day-to-day basis. Together, the three partners have almost 100 years of restaurant experience between them.
